Privacy notice

General information
The protection of the personal data of users on our websites, and in particular of our customers, takes top priority for us. We carry out the collection, processing (storage, alteration, transmission, blocking and deletion) and utilisation of personal data exclusively in compliance with the applicable privacy regulations. As a matter of principle, we only collect, process and use personal data if and insofar as we are permitted to do so by a statutory provision, or if you consent to your data being used outside this framework. We record consent which is required by law. The granting of such consent is always voluntary.

Any consent that may be given by our customers may be revoked at any time with future effect. Such revocation should be given via an appropriate notification by e-mail to, by fax on +49 221 48538 48 or by mail to PROAKTIV Management GmbH Training und Beratung in Management und Verkauf.

Utilisation of the websites

Simply visiting our websites does not create any personal record of your utilisation, and only anonymous data are stored, i.e. no data permitting the user to be identified. We only evaluate the data in order to establish our users’ habits, without knowing the identity of the users in question (for instance by calculating numbers of hits, page impressions, visits) in order to adapt our service to our users’ wishes and needs and to make it generally user friendly. We primarily store any personal data which you may have provided, such as your name, address or telephone number, in order to carry out bookings, process orders, check credit worthiness, process payments and prevent misuse of our website, as well as to inform you about orders, products, services and offers. To this end, we may transmit data to other companies as appropriate, such as to suppliers which may deliver goods to you directly from their works. In doing so, the recipient may only use the data transmitted to carry out their respective task. In order to examine credit ratings, we reserve the right to exchange address and credit rating data with associated companies, and where appropriate also with the Schufa credit protection agency and other economic information services. Address and order data are only used and processed by us for marketing purposes; we only pass your data to third parties, such as suppliers, for this purpose. We naturally only use any e-mail address which you may have provided for advertising purposes if you have explicitly consented to such activities in advance.

Should you use our contact form, you generate an e-mail to us which is subject to the statutory provisions generally applicable to electronic commercial mail, and which is stored and processed within this framework.

We may also use cookies to make your online bookings as easy as possible and to make our service more user friendly, efficient and secure. A cookie is a text file which is stored on the computer’s harddisk, either temporarily until the browser is closed (“session cookie”) or for a longer pre-defined period (“permanent” cookie). Cookies for instance contain information on the user’s past visits to the server in question or information on the offers that have been consulted in the past. These are used for instance in order to display a cart that is valid for all pages showing you which articles you stored in the cart at their purchase value at that time. The cookies that we use do not store any personal data, but they do include data such as the name of our website, the date of your visit and technical data. Such cookies cannot transmit viruses, nor can they read data from your harddisk. Cookies can also not obtain your e-mail address, nor is it possible to use them to send e-mails unnoticed.

You can use your browser settings (usually at “Options” or “Settings”) to opt to accept all cookies, to be informed when cookies are created, or to reject all cookies. Please understand that, should you decide not to accept any cookies, this may mean that our website works less well or not at all.

Use of Google AdWords (Remarketing/Conversion Tracking)

Our website uses Google’s AdWords service. Google AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). First of all, we use the remarketing function which forms part of Google’s AdWords service. The remarketing function allows us to present users of our website with ads on other websites within the Google Display Network (on Google itself, “Google Ads” or other websites) that are based on their interests. To do so, users’ interaction on our website is analysed, looking for instance at the offers in which the user has expressed an interest, in order to be able to show users targeted advertising on other pages after they have visited our website.

In order to do so, Google stores a number in the browsers of users who visit specific Google services or websites within the Google Display Network.

Users’ visits are recorded via this number, which is referred to as a “cookie”. This number is used in order to unambiguously identify a web browser on a specific computer, and not to identify an individual; no personal data are stored. You can deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plugin that you will find there: You can find more information on Google remarketing and Google’s privacy statement at: We also use a function within Google’s AdWords service known as Conversion Tracking. If you click on an ad that has been placed by Google, a cookie is stored on your computer or device for Conversion Tracking. These cookies expire after 30 days; they do not contain any personal data, and hence cannot be used to personally identify you.

The information that is obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. You can prevent cookies being stored by making the appropriate setting on your browser software; we would however like to point out that you may not then be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. You can also deactivate interest-based ads on Google as well as interest-based Google ads on the web (within the Google Display Network) in your browser by activating the “Off” button at or deactivating this function at You can find more information on the settings options available to you and on privacy at Google at

Google Analytics

As well as the cookies described above, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”), with the extension “anonymizeIp()”, so that IP addresses are only processed in their truncated form, thus ruling out direct personal traceability. Google Analytics works as follows:

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files stored on your computer, to enable analysis of how you use the site. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website will as a rule be transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will however be previously truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States of the Treaty on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to one of Google’s servers in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage to the operator of this website. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser in Google Analytics with any other data held by Google. You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to make full use of the functions of this website.

You can also prevent the data generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website (including your IP address) from being passed on to Google, as well as Google processing these data, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link:

You can obtain further information on data use for advertising purposes by Google, as well as possible settings and objections, on Google’s websites: (“How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps”), and (“Control the information Google uses to show you ads”).

Facebook (Share, Like, etc.)

PROAKTIV uses Website Social Plugins (“Plugins”) provided by the social network on its site. This is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins are identifiable by the Facebook logo. When a user visits the website of the PROAKTIV services, which has such a plugin, the user’s browser establishes a direct link with Facebook’s servers. Facebook directly transmits the content of the plugin to the user’s browser, which then incorporates it into the website.

The incorporation of the plugins means that Facebook is informed that the user has visited the PROAKTIV service site in question. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can trace the user’s visit to his or her Facebook account. If the user interacts with the plugins, for instance by clicking on the “Like” button or leaving a comment, the user’s browser will send this information directly to Facebook, where it will be stored. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and utilisation of the data by Facebook, as well as any rights and settings available to the user in this regard in order to protect his or her privacy, can be found in Facebook’s Data Policy:

The content and works created on this website by the site operators are subject to German copyright law. The content of this website may only be downloaded and copied for private, non-commercial use. Insofar as contents of this website have not been created by the operator, third-party copyrights will be complied with. In particular, third-party content will be marked as such. Should you nonetheless become aware of a copyright infringement, we kindly ask you to inform us accordingly.
